Chaos In Central Park, New York As Drivers Abandon Car As They Try To Catch Rare Pokemon

There has been a craze of many descriptions over the years, but the best one to hit the internet recently appears to be Pokeman Go and this is gripping millions across several continents, which is also causing problems for many who may not be “hooked” onto the gaming phenomena caught in traffic problems.

For the few that may not know about the game, it first saw the light of day in Australia and New Zealand before overtaking Tinder in the US in popularity. This was quickly followed by the UK and it basically uses the smartphone’s global positioning system. What happens is that your phone will buzz when a creature is nearby and, using the camera, the little fellows appear wherever you are, whether it’s a library, shopping centre or supermarket, or as recently happened in Central Park in New York.
Now you have to try to catch and train the creature, but it can be anything, rats, snakes, dragons, birds and eggs. You smartphone will always keep you notified of how far away a nearby Pokémon, rival trainer or group event is.
This new craze has caused problems, and in New York it became serious with drivers stopping their cars, leaving engines running as the attempted to catch the creature. So much so that Go sent gamers into an absolute frenzy as they desperately tried to catch and tame the creature. One gamer named Izzy tweeted that “A Vaporeon popped up in the middle of Central Park and this happened.” That meant total chaos in Central Park. That was not the end though, because the Pokeman Go servers crashed, they were then met with a message which related that: “Our servers are humbled by your incredible response. We are working to resolve the issue. Please try again soon!” Simply great that don’t you think? It was not just in America it happened of course, as gamers in UK, as well as Holland and the US, are complaining that the reality game is freezing and won’t allow them to log in.

Well as you might imagine, social media has been inundated with disgruntled gamers, how am I supposed to spend this 3 hour train journey now came one comment, where the hell am I and how did I get here, suggested another, my Saturday is ruined Pokemon go won’t load said Isobelle. Oh well you know it really is only a game, or is it. Perhaps I better not go any further or I might find myself driving into a lamppost on the way home.
